money management
PortWine asked:

I believe women are equal to men when it comes to reason, logic, math, business, money management, current events, and…..basically everywhere except in thinking about and discussing gender-related issues. I also see that there are a few men that are the most deficient of all in this regard, and that most women over 50 years old are the least deficient of all (including as opposed to men) in their understanding of gender issues. In the vast middle though, women seem to want to take a vacation from reason when it comes to this subject. They compare apples to oranges when it suits them, and refuse to do the same when it doesn’t. The most you’ll get from most women when men point out a gender equality that favors women is a rye smile.
Rebel F, I now understand this well enough to stop harping on it. Thank you.

Do men and women follow different cultures when it involves money?

money management
Lioness asked:

Do we follow different saving and investment habits?

My mom and grandma always emphasized on saving, while my dad encouraged investing. My dad & ex husband had serious financial ups and downs (they both have their own architectural firm), while my mom moved up very slowly with stability (working as a chemist and waiting for promotions & raises while saving every month). I have observed similar patterns with others around me, so I’m wondering if gender affects money management?
Vintner: I agree that the other factors you mentioned are important too.
Kendrick: Great link. Thanks.
